WHAT YOUR
GIFT MEANS
While
tax dollars and other local revenues support obligations and
basic operations, gifts financially support the library in
meeting expectations of the community. The Hart Area Public
Library faces many challenges, and opportunities, to provide
important new services created by ever-expanding information
sources and technology, as well as meeting the needs of a
rapidly growing, diversified community.
ENDOWMENT FUND
Your gift to the HAPL Endowment Fund in the Oceana County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Muskegon Foundation, builds our community by supporting the mission of the Library: access to information, literacy, education, and the love of books. Your financial support is an investment in the future of our citizens, our community, and the Hart Area Public Library.
Your donation is placed in an investment fund held by the Oceana County Community Foundation and it continues to grow while a portion of the earnings is used to sustain and enhance library services and programs.
- Online: We can accept your credit card donation online at the Community Foundation's secure online giving site. Enter "Hart Area Public Library Endowment Fund" in the “Specific Fund” field in Step 2 of the donation process.
- By Check: Please make your check payable to Community Foundation for Oceana County and enter "Hart Area Public Library Endowment Fund" on the memo line. Mail to: CCFMC, 425 W. Western- Suite 200, Muskegon MI 49440.

CAPITAL
CAMPAIGN
Our capital campaign
raised $600,000 to build the new library which opened in January
2004. Thank you to everyone who participated in this
historical project. We are truly grateful. Donations may still be directed to the Building Fund.
ANNUAL GIVING
Your
gift to the Annual Fund promotes the continued growth and
development of library resources, materials, and programs.
These unrestricted funds also support special projects and
innovative programming. Support for the Annual Fund makes
a difference in the quality of library services for everyone
and offers individuals and businesses meaningful returns in
the form of increased literacy, better students, greater access
to information technology, and improved library resources.
TRIBUTE
COLLECTION
The
HAPL offers patrons and supporters numerous opportunities
to make a difference. A tribute gift is a
meaningful way to remember or honor a friend, colleague
or family member. Your donation may be designated to purchase
books, music, videos or DVDs, audio books, or magazine subscriptions. Acknowledgements
will be sent to the donor and honoree or to the family of
the person who is being remembered. If requested, a special
bookplate is placed in the designated material.
